So Delta being in the wheelchair and conveniently not acknowledged until he was pointed out by Sean those two times really confused me.

Does that mean he was actually there the whole time and just wasn't acknowledged by Q team because he was basically a vegetable and just happened to be conveniently out of frame or what? And he was the "Q" Zero referred to this whole time and not Sean?

Pretend this game never happened anon. 999 and VLR are amazing in a vaccuum.

Which reminds me of Remember11. People said Remember11's ending sucks and it brings the game down a lot. But I think the game is awesome and the twists are really good. The fact that the game never truly got finished is a shame, but even without it the plot is still interesting. Leaving it open ended was fine with me. So just enjoy VLR like that; an open ended game without a true ending.
>>
I'd like to think that the reason Delta is offscreen the whole time is that you are Delta the whole time before the reveal, using the glasses to see through cameras. There is no reason to have yourself in focus, right?
It was still out of the blue when I first played it, though.

Same here, brother. Maybe I'm stupid for expecting so many thing to wrapped up perfectly into a bow in one game, but I just felt let down overall when it didn't meet my expectations.
Which were made very high due to VLR setting the stage for something brilliant.
>>
>>344688428
I had mixed feelings about it but I'm glad the clues were numerous enough for them to pile up and subtle enough that I didn't dwell on them long enough to connect the dots. I got Perceptive End early and it was a huge mind fuck.
>>
>>344687918
>So just enjoy VLR like that; an open ended game without a true ending.
It's funny you say that, because personally I was (and still technically am) bummed by VLR. Not only did I find its story escalation unnecessarily high for a sequel (for a story I'd argue that didn't necessarily need continuation), it also left me with an ending that did not feel satisfying in the least.

As such I bought ZTD just to see if it would make VLR's existence worth it for me, but as it turns out it didn't.
>>
>>344687918
R11 is fantastic. I'll never understand why people dislike it, but praise games kite DR, S;G, and seacats.

Phi was sent back to 1900s via the transporter. German scientists tried the transporter, sending the 1900s version to 2008. The 1900s version lived long enough to adopt and raise the 2008 version.
>>
>>344689746
phi said she was raised by an old researcher couple who found her in the transporter and the "other phi" file said original phi lived into her 100s as a researcher in america working with the transporter so it's only implied.

I genuinely thought Sean was Delta somehow, and the robot thing was only in another timeline so I held off going through the door since it seemed like it would obviously get me the last ending for the stand off. I was expecting him to bypass the "cannot commit suicide" thing and somehow turn the bow on himself and some exposition with one of the codes for the boxes. I did not fucking expect what actually happened. Probably the most memorable experience in the game for me.

ZTD is literally the Remember11 of the ZE series.

VLR was disappointing by itself, more so than ZTD, it's just such a huge leap in themes from 999.

Honestly, I feel the same way, I never thought ZE had very good writing to begin with so while ZTD was dumb, it was dumb in an entertaining way, while 999 only had its atmosphere, sprites, and being somewhat grounded going for it since I never cared about a single character by the end and it wasn't even the fun kind of dumb.

Probably that they can now shift and keep their memories, which is something only Sigma and Phi could do before.

>Why did Uchi resort to a dumb paradox of Delta ensuring his own creation?
This is literally the same paradox present in 999 and VLR, so if you thought that was dumb, then the whole series is dumb.

> This is my personal opinion, but I think other countries overreact to sexuality. Japanese men are often labeled as perverts and hentai (myself included), but the rate of sexual crimes in Japan is amongst the lowest in the world. I understand that this is partially because many crimes go unreported, but even so the number is very low. According to a report by Nation Master, the rate of sexual crimes is 1 in 100,000 people, ranked 105th out of 119 countries.

>There are various factors for the low rate, but some theories owe it to Japan’s acceptance of sexual media. If you can satisfy your needs via fantasy, you don’t need to act them out the real world. Of course I’m not saying you can get away with anything so long as it’s fiction. But if something has an evident, ideological reason, (think of Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut), this freedom of expression should be protected.

Not trying to pull a "gotcha" on the game, just trying to understand how Akane works:

In the prologue, she tells Sigma she only gets bits and pieces of info from her future self, right? But Uchikoshi says she's looked down a zillion different timelines and can SHIFT, and she basically livestreamed the whole Nonary Game to Junpei in 999 when she was just a kid. So why is her connection with her future self so limited?

Got some questions here cause im shit at following multiple timelines

1. Once the shifters figured out they could shift why didn't they just shift to before the experiment began so that they could warn people or take literally any preventative measures instead of perpetually shifting to points in time after the decision game started?

2. Why is everyone ok with mira being a serial killer in the end of the game? They do know, right? Nobody says anything or even tells eric. (true ending)

3. Why does delta think he has changed anything? The whole game is about infinite realities, so there was already an infinite amount of realities where the terrorist did not cause ww3. Sure he created another set of infinite realities, but double infinity is still infinity.

4. How is delta alive at 124 years old? Why are his eyes purple?

5. Why did delta kill gab? What was the point of that?

6. Why did Mira pretend to fall unconscious each time the drug was injected? She was in on the ruse right? There wouldn't be a point in tricking any of them because they wouldn't remember her not falling unconscious anyway.

7. How did sean shift at the end? He is just a computer. How can computers shift?

8. How did carlos use the bracelet as an anesthetic for his arm wound? If it was injected wouldnt he fall asleep and forget like normal? Why was it just only affecting his arm at that point?

I have more that i probably forgot

Disagree that R07 fucked up the last arcs. People just are obsessed with getting a conclusion and denying all magic outright, but R07 didn't want that, he wanted Magic to be at equilibrium with Trick. So he only gave a symbolic solution with EP07, instead of a factual one.

And he constantly said that he included everything he wanted on EP08 and was really satisfied with how it turned out. Its just that what he wanted wasn't what most people expected.

>6. Why did Mira pretend to fall unconscious each time the drug was injected? She was in on the ruse right? There wouldn't be a point in tricking any of them because they wouldn't remember her not falling unconscious anyway.
She didn't. She DID fall asleep. But the memory loss drug wasn't injected.

>7. How did sean shift at the end? He is just a computer. How can computers shift?
They explained in the ending where Sean enters the password into the Quantum Computer while Eric and Mira were present. It's because of Quantum states or something.

I won't accept "a small budget" as an excuse eithe. All he would have to do is spend a little less time writing mind hack dialogue and thrown in a couple lines aimed at the player.

I would still say VLR, even though it lacked gore, had a better atmosphere and aesthetic than ZTD. It stayed consistent with its Si-Fi theme throughout with its environments, music, and general art direction. ZTD is all over the fucking place; the environments have no consistency, the graphics are blocky and cell-shaded, and the majority of the soundtrack are reused themes.

Honestly, the current game makes itself trivially pointless.

>>344699689
1. Everyone does very stupid things that are far from the most obvious or best way to achieve their goals.

2. Eric knows, if you read the notes after finishing the game he has her surrender to the police, and they marry in prison.

3. I was wondering if this game had a weird derivative of the multiverse where the other universes are forks originating from man-made choices? 'cause otherwise, nobody's plans to do anything than to set their CURRENT self up with xy make any sense.

If everything that is physically possible, you can't stop radical-6 or can't save mankind. Infinite universes die to it. Infinite universes don't have it. Infinite universes survive the outbreak with one casualty, or none. Literally nothing you could do would matter, you could only travel to where you wanted to be.

7. He haz quantums, he can shift (/ exists everywhere simultaneously - I think the game confused me on the respective text actually)

8. Well, the injections for memory loss and sleep are separate. How he knew which is which is beyond me though.

Question for all the people that hated the Delta reveal? How would you do it better? Because I admit that it is deliberately manipulating the player, but I struggle to come up with a better way to do it. We knew that Brother was Zero before playing the game, and we knew he was old as fuck. So the moment we saw Delta, the jig would be up. The only other way I can think of doing it would be to not have Zero as a participant at all, but then the reveal of him being somebody we didn't see would feel like even more of an asspull. I would be a literally who? moment. Anybody got any ideas on how they would've made it work better?

Yes, that's it.

I think This actually has more potential, too?

Ultimately, why couldn't he have the "decency" to free his mom and dad and younger self and sister in some timelines where his parents did the prequisite teleportation, but were still stuck and going to starve in the bunker?

Him then talking to his parents and various things happening would probably even have been a better plot mover and emotional moment thing than Sean the otherwise basically pointless robot talking to Zero in the quantum computer room.

Yeah. I wouldn't have minded having him be monitoring them and having the reveal be Q pointing at an eyeball camera that he's been using to watch implanted in all of them. But that would've been harder to seed, and I don't hate what we got. Except for the fact that it wasn't entirely necessary for him to be in the game (beside his death causing C-Team to jump and get the VLR timeline complete) I thought it worked pretty well, and making the player be delta is a clever twist, and it keeps the tradition of the character playing as a single participant in the game, only this time it is the true villian
