Because companies realize that the only way to ever make fighting games big is by catering to the PC crowd. Video game competitions happen on PC. Sponsorships are offered by big hardware brands. So if you wanna go full esport (which most want to it seems) you have to cater to PC players or else it will never happen.

You dont have to put up with shitty console membership fees to play online. You dont have to pay an extra 200 dollars on top of a 399 console for a fightstick because consoles dont carry drivers or emulate like pc can. I mean richfags can but average and poorfags cant.
