Real question, would elder scrolls be better if there was not really a mainquest, but rather an open world with factions and quest trees so you could kind of make your own world/adventure? If every enemy you met was perfectly scaled to you and placed specifically and had a unique function the world would eventually feel and be empty. LOOT will tell you what mods need cleaning, then you open TESVEdit > select only that file > apply filter for cleaning > delete identical to masters > undelete and disable references > done

It is ok, I did a playthrough of it.
If you get high level conjuration you can summon two permanent thralls, if you plant a good weapon on their corpses before raising them they will wield it but this does not work with armor so naked thralls happens a lot.
Dawnguard adds more to conjuration, I think they added three undead creatures to conjure so there is that.
It can be fun if you are creative, I leveled destruction as well as conjuration. I also leveled enchanting and gave myself unlimited mana for both of those schools of magic.
Pretty much spammed Blizzard and had some weird npcs for thralls, I had the emperor you kill in the dark brotherhood quest running around nude with a sword.
It is easy to lose thralls so I kept his corpses in one of my houses

I can't run ENB's with my 7850, so is Climates of Tamriel good? years ago I remember thinking it looked worse than vanilla because at least vanilla had more balance and better dusk colors and lighting.

As someone who's running a heavily modded game right now, there's basically no way. Even improving everything you can, it will still have clunky combat, retarded enemy AI, and repetitive quests sending you in copypasted dungeons.

I don't understand the appeal of followers in general.

>Shit magic scaling
>No amazing high-lvl spells
>Useless Staves and meh mage gear
>Broken Smithing and Alchemy system
>Instant healing potions
>Useless poisons
>Overpowered Stealth both dagger and Archery
>All melee weapons have like 2 moves
>Useless and mediocre perks
>No good unique fantasy-weapons with unique moves (apart from Auriel's Bow)
>Broken Armour and Magic-resist scaling
All this combat related things needs to be changed and improved in next tes.
