Best way to handle them was to either body-shot them with a shitload of fire damage, or blow the helmet off and aim a fire shotgun at the head.
Either way, setting them on fire is the best way to go. If fire is not an option, use either a normal or a shock weapon.

I loved the two turrets with laser pointers and missile pods. It felt like complete lockdown when you wiped out the area and have they two lasers scanning for any potential threats.

Depends on your preferred playstyle.
I personally prefer Maya as a sniper/SMG elementalist, and a Krieg as an explosive/melee character, for when i just need to get up in a fuckers face and smack em and/or blow them the fuck up.

Willhelm is the easiest. His skills is summoning two combat drones that regenerate your health and kill bad guys.
Athena is great if you like melee.
Jack is pretty fun with his amazing clones that can wipe out enemies pretty easily and latter on you can change your tree and get all the passive bonuses from leadership.
Nisha is an aimbot, Aurelia throws a big shard of ice that attacks nearby enemies and freezes them + throws them up in the air.

Not really. His transition to bad guy was idiotic, poorly paced and ultimately pointless. Then as a villain he was inconsistent, had conflicting goals, non-existant motives and largely existed to make jokes. Which is fine if you like his jokes, but as an actual villain she was total dogshit.
Even his victories are just the result of stupid pointless things that make no sense narratively like Roland dying because he climbed the mountain to the other entrance you were told repeatedly never existed, he and by extension, bloodwing couldn't just use a New-U because [no explanation given]. Then the only reason he can continue his plan to waken the warrior is because lilith decides to not listen to enter the enemy base and can't escape from a collar because "its siren proof" or something, despite never being told this and all the sirens have radically different powers.
To be fair lots of characters are horribly written now and it's certainly not just Jack.
