You're bait isn't only stupid, it's also dumb.
>>344641380
Should I get X/Y or OR/AS?
>>344641519
Both.
>>344641517
>You're
>>344641563
Can only get one.
>>344641589
> >You're
>>344641623
Should have been "Your", senpai.
>>344641519
Neither. Get Super Mystery Dungeon. It fucks you until you love it.
>>344641654
No, because the OP was bait. It wasn't the bait that he owns.

>No new game plus
>No multiple saves
>Still adding and removing features from each game.
Why is gamefreak so autistic.
>>344641709
If you mean the DaS series, then yes, the numbered sequels are awful.
If you mean the unofficial "souls-like" franchise, then Bloodborne takes the cake.
>>344641519
X and Y
>>344641783
>new game +
technically hard mode for BW2
>no multiple saves
eh yeah
>still adding and removing features from each game
yeah this sucks, considering some amazing features like DexNav from ORAS are likely to not come back which was an amazing addition but I'm glad to see the Pokemon Amie and Super Training etc are still around and have become staples
Fallout1 :^):^):^):^)
>>344641519
X/Y
Emulate emerald don't even bother playing the abortion known as OR/AS.
They removed the battle frontier and then shove a sign in your face that proudly states that they were too lazy to add it
>>344641934
>>344642106
>giving him bad advice
why do you do this
>>344641675
Pretty much all Mystery Dungeons are great and far better than the original games. (Exept the one MD they made in Gen 5. It sucked ass.)
>>344642328
And it still had better music/story/characters than any of the mainline games. Also the biggest mindfuck in video game history.
>>344641380
The true best pokemon games.
>>344641380
Final Fantasy
>>344642393
>Also the biggest mindfuck in video game history
That's not ever17.
>>344641380
Emerald, right?
>>344644105
only decent Pokemon games were from Platinum and BW2.
No
>>344646420
>tfw it sold less and reviewed worse than Gates To Infinity
Great franchise while it lasted
>>344646938
>sold less
What? I heard it sold better than all the others
>>344641380
Pokemon is actually a series without a single bad game.
>>344647001
That's funny, Rescue Team sold like 7 million and Explorers sold like 10 million while Super barely broke 1 million.
>>344647012
This. They're painfully mediocre at worst.
>>344647012
This.
I never played pokemon, which game should i get? I have a n3ds xl
>>344647226
>I never played pokemon
how old are you?
>>344647382
27. I played on pc most of my youth.
>>344647226
X or Y would seem like a good starting games to me, they're pretty casual friendly. Just make sure to turn off the exp share when you get it in game if you want the game to be a little challenging
>>344647072
What a shame. Maybe that's why Super had such a sense of finality to it.
>>344647948
Too bad it also marks the end of my life because no other franchise makes me feel anymore.
>>344648105
Super was pretty cheap with its feels anyway. The whole plot seemed rushed and even though the twist at the ending was perfect on paper it was also too contrived in practice.
>>344648187
Says you, that twist blew me the fuck out. I'm still having trouble processing what actually happened.
The real problem is that the first half of the story is utterly pointless and the second half is rushed.
>>344647836
Why is everybody suggesting X and Y? All I've ever seen across the internet is the consensus that X and Y are weak, ORAS is the most feature packed (being the newest), and that HG/SS or B&W are series favorites for people who have been following along.
The main advice I see is if you're new, play ORAS, and if you want someone to tell you what they like, it is either HG/SS or B&W1 or 2.
>>344641709
Can someone explain what is so bad about 2 and 3? I really don't understand.
>>344648327
I know exactly what you mean. I was exactly where you are.
The way it plays on your expectations, having played the previous games, is a stroke of genius.
But when you stop and think a little, it doesn't really make much sense.
That said, one of the things I liked that made it so hard-hitting was the fact that you actually have to work to make things right. In the other games you just hit continue and things are back to normal.
>>344648471
Helps that you-know-who is my favorite Pokemon of all time and I have been mad for well over a decade that it hasn't had a real role to play in any game ever.
I guess on a logistical level it's a bit weird but the emotional impact was perfect. Like you said, you have to work, and it's not easy because for once the MC isbasically just a nobody
>>344648853
Honestly, for all its flaws I'm happy to see the series go out on Super. I think the series has run its course and done all it can.
I won't be forgetting them any time soon.
>>344641380
>not HeartGold/SoulSilver
>>344649106
tbqh I'm surprised Rescue team got a sequel in the first place, which was not only good but better.
I'd be able to take this with more peace if not for the fact that the main games will keep coming until the day I die, always reminding me of what could've been.
>>344649261
I get why you feel that way, but I don't.
We got 3 excellent and heartfelt games out of a franchise of cynical rehashes and knockoffs. I'm just happy that they had the chance to exist at all.
>>344649506
Someone must take up the mantle, if all good series die then there will be nothing left. Mega man and Castlevania never found a successor, now they are doomed to be forgotten.
