If I had a friend who had already upgraded (and I spent some time using their machine) I wouldn't have but I was the one that bit the bullet.
The thing is it's pretty much w7 with a new coat of paint and some 8.1 features. It's not that special and it's still just pretty much w7. There's no real need to upgrade.
Also since this is /v/, I've had to run Project Zomboid and I've heard of a few other games that need to be run in compatibility mode because of W10.

nah it's a very simple and straight forward installation. microsoft pushed w10 HARD so they really streamlined it and ironed out the kinks. If I could say one positive thing about W10, the installation was easy.

Good thing - it need a less space, i use 64 gb SSD and 7 sometimes make me worry and clean desktop.
Also it is pretty, XP was thick like child's drawn, 7 was shiny and cold like plastic cover, 10 is simply elegant like a black square.

Win10 is fine. Eventually you'll have to upgrade anyway. Just make sure you do the following:
-Don't get Win10 Home. Pay to get Professional if you're dumb enough to be running 7/8 Home. Home edition locks you out of most basic control functions including choosing whether or not to shut off those overnight build upgrades that fuck all your shit up.
-Do a clean installation (google it if you need to). If you do JUST the upgrade you're going to have a mess to deal with and you'll eventually have all sorts of directory issues and problems with programs and drivers. A clean slate eliminates 90% of the problems people have when upgrading to 10. You WILL need to back up all your files and you will need to install all of your programs again. I recommend Ninite.
-If you're really worried about MUH PRIVACY there are guides on the internet to remove telemetry stuff, though it really isn't a big deal. For the end user, I promise you, they're not looking at your fucking porn or piracy or whatever the fuck.
