>started playing it again after the last update
>actually having fun
is this normal?

I hadn't played in two years and clocked 12 hours since the patch.
>>344605672
Yes.
Is there a way to disable skins and loadout weapons? If they improved matchmaking, I'd like pure vanilla gameplay

pretty sure there's a nohats mod

Does it bother you or something?

Liked the grittier artstyle in the beta. It wasn't edgy but it wasn't goofball tier.
Yes. Unlike ActiBlizzard games, Valve games actually hold up and aren't just a fad people forget about over time.
it runs like shit for me after the update, so i'm actually having less fun.
>TF2 pros kept going on about how this update was gonna balance everything
>barely anything changed, aside from a few Scout primaries

You don't have to constantly compare this game to Overwatch and vise versa. They're very different, just with similar game modes (that neither of them came up with on their own!)
>>344605672
No its not normal, you should feel fucking ashamed of who you are.
But nothing can stop you so keeping dreaming you fucking queer.

Turn off mat_phong and the textures will look more like the beta. Otherwise you can get some skin mods to make them look exactly like the beta.
>>344608734
what's mat_phong do?
>>344608878
>>344608734
oh nevermind it's the shiny thing on models
I actually really like it, it's easily my favourite thing about tf2 graphically speaking
>>344608878
I forgot you have to do it in the console. I don't know for sure but it seems to turn off any shine on the models.

I'm sure he wouldn't have brought it up if it didn't. Unfortunately you can only disable cosmetics via mods for now if you know where to look. I haven't done it myself so I can't confirm if they still work since the last update.

yeah pretty much
