But in all seriousness I remember the day the GTX 980 came out and people made threads on /v/ talking about how garbage it was, it was basically massively over-hyped and wasn't as good as people said it would be. So everyone went out and dropped a bunch of money on it and then complained how underwhelming and disappointing it was, the 1080 will be no different.
Everyone will buy it and hate it, buying anything from NVIDIA in general probably isn't worth considering how abysmal the launch of the GTX 980 was.

I'd buy a RX480 8GB if it's significantly cheaper than 1060 6GB, if not I'd settle for a 1060 I'd prefer the power efficiency.
Failing that I'd get a RX470 4/8GB just for 1080p if it's gonna offer be best bang for buck.
