Honestly, I want AC7 to be the big world war Ace Combat.
>Osea, ISAF and Emmeria versus Erusea, Yuktobania and Estovakia
>Belkans selling tech and weapons to both.
>All of them want control over the space elevator, even willing to backstab their allies for it.
>Your allies in one mission could be opposing you in the next.
>Corporations from both sides begin militarising, becoming more and more powerful, some even entering the war as independent forces.
>The disappearance of mercenaries like Cipher in favour of corporate military forces with much better firepower than most government soldiers.
>Beginnings of corporate war as seen in AC3
>Space dogfights.
>The next generation of aircraft are becoming commonplace. Planes such as the X-02, ADF-01 and CFA-44 are now becoming standard.
>Setting up the world of Electrosphere and how Strangereal came to be dominated by corporations rather than governments in the 2040's.

>basically MS IGLOO type shit, mixing old tech with new mech tech

Somehow I wouldn't feel as noble if I wasn't flying for a state. Then again, Cipher and Pixy flew for broness and honour.

So is AC7 supposed to be a return to the 4/5/0 style or will it be more like the newer ones? Hopefully it's the former
>maybe not having a burden of a nation allows him to fly faster
The dialogue and amount of cheese that comes out of a simple airplane game is astonishing. Love me some AC.
The Ace Combat fandom has always been so great and so tighly-knit. On one hand I want AC7 to succeed so we can get more games out of it, but I fear what could happen if it becomes too mainstream and attracts the wrong kind of people

>Somehow I wouldn't feel as noble if I wasn't flying for a state.
Exactly.
War would have no more romance about it. It would just be business through other means.
You'll have your wingmen getting disillusioned that the corporate forces get paid more and get better equipment. Your AWACS' orders would get continually superseded by some civilian in a suit only doing it for a paycheck. Loyal soldiers, sailors and airmen die because the corporate tacticians just consider them expendable pawns, even more so than regular generals, because the military foots the bill, not the corporation.
Maybe you go rogue, become a similar structure to the Belkan Grey Men, fighting the corporations to defend your country. Or maybe you decide money is worth more than your nation, defect and join the corporate air forces, shooting down your old buddies because your former nation stopped paying their defence bill.
>tfw AC7 probably won't be a modernised AC3, with branching storylines.
>>344592905
I'm really hoping for the 4/5/0 style, but with elements of the newer ones mixed in, like fuckhuge battles and nicer graphics.

I actually just saw the AC7 trailer yesterday. It was fucking terrible. I knew I was going to dislike it the instant unsung war melody bit played.
I keep hoping that I'll like ace combat again, but I always come away disappointed.
