About to play this game again.
I've played Sniper characters so much in the Fallout series, I wanna try something new.
Interested in maybe doing energy weapons.
Anyone know any fun builds?

Fallout 3 is retard proof, you can max absolutely everything out quickly and SPECIAL doesn't do much. Just go with whatever you want.

Nah, energy weapons suck in 3. They are boring and there's little weapon variety. I would say do a big guns/melee build and keep your intelligence stat rather low to avoid "accidentally" maxing every skill.

raise your intelligence to 10 so you can max out the energy weapon skill as soon as possible. it's harder to find ammo for energy weapons so you want to do a lot of damage with each shot. go to rivet city and do the android quest, side with the android and he'll give you his plasma rifle. one of the strongest unique weapons in the game.
