I think Ending D would have been much more powerful if it had involved Yonah instead of Kainé.
Maybe it could have still worked if there had been a stronger connection between what was going on and what happened to Kainé, or just a better buildup. Honestly as it is it felt really gratuitous, and on top of that Kainé is always just sort of there in the plot.

Undertale essentially just took a bunch of Niers gameplay ideas and thematic storytelling elements, dumbed them down for casuals who don't understand subtlety, and those same review sites treated it like a masterpiece.

I don't like ending D because it's a giant asspull that sacrificing yourself can bring someone back to normal even though it's never established at all or even hinted at prior in the game. Probably the laziest attempt at a "feels" ending I've ever seen. B and C are better.

Which voice acting is the best for the Drakengard series? I want to get into it after playing Nier. Normally Japanese is the way to go for games like these but Nier was the exception. Is it the same for the Drakengard series too?

Ending D is literally the last thing you typically achieve while playing Nier. There's still a cornucopia of things left for you to find out that leads up to that point. In away, you miss out on a bit of the experience, but nothing that should ultimately sully the game for you.

I'm not big on replaying games. B was tolerable enough because it gave a new perspective and the ending kind of shocked me. The other runs had nothing new in them and there wasn't anything particularly surprising or big in any of them. Things like that make it really hard for me to recommend this game or call it good, even though I really enjoy Taro's ideas.
