hell no
Balamb garden
Assuming I don't get killed for it, anyways.
>>344522095
I'll take bandit raids over the possibility of fucking ghosts attacks, thanks very much
>>344522073
This.
>>344521829
I've watched enough Sealab to know how that would go.
>>344521707
wasn't that the fucking nightmare town, though?
>>344522259
Acceptably well?
>>344521707
Unique Landscapes Chorrol Farmlands ruined me for vanilla awry on Prioiry so FUCKING COMFY
>>344522017
Good taste..oakvale, the guild, bowerstone, the place with the balverines..all pretty cozy and nice.
>>344522294
that's the area with all the monks
>>344522294
You go there with the amulet, to talk to the bowl cut guy. He tells you to go to the town being attacked by the Oblivion gate. The first real quest in the main quest line.
>>344522251
This. My nigga. Blood island is so comfy
>>344522294
No, it's Weynon priory. Niggas don't even know their lore.
>>344521707
Superior town coming through
I don't even care that it's a police state.
It's so nice looking.
>>344522359

The locations in Pandaria can be pretty dang comfy.

>>344522769
The Dark Brotherhood isn't even the only murderous organization in Cheydinhal. The Mages' Guild is pretty dangerous because of that cunt Falcar too. Though I guess if you want to be a mage he'd have left.

I really, really, really want Last Guardian to be good. I'm afraid the ridiculously long dev cycle may have killed it before it even arrives.
>>344523024
And he'd probably hunt you down for a soul gem
>>344522676I actually loved Pandaria
>>344522684
>Anvil
Out of all the places in Oblivion, I gotta go with this one.
That mansion is pretty cozy once you clear it of cobwebs and ghosts.
>>344521707
>>344523093
Even if it sucks I'm certain there will still be some pretty environments to explore. Ueda makes aesthetic shit.
>>344522359
The inside of the Demon Doors were comfy as hell too.
>tfw you will never take a seat and read a good book in the Heroes' Guild demon door
>>344523093
Was Ico good? I found it to be really tedious and Last Guardian reminds me of that.
>>344523092

>>344522676
>tfw i was actually talking to npcs and shit in pandaria just to get simple flavour text

Never going back sorry
Is it just me or is every single town in Oblivion more comfy/cosy than Skyrim's? I was thinking Skyrim was going to be comfy because of the snow, but I found even Bruma to do this better.
>>344523314
I liked Proudspire manor even if it was a little small.
I'd live in Dryfield Nevada and kill monsters with good old Mr. Douglas and his dog.
I just beat that game again. Fucking incredible game.
I wanna be a wizard in a towerinstead of a NEET in the attic
>>344523314
Oblvion had the classical colorful fantasy artstyle that made it comfy as fuck. Skyrim fell for the gritty and depressing meme.
Altissia from the new Final Fantasy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyaOiQiuG-E
That video the showed during E3 looked incredibly comfy. I can almost see myself walking through the city at night, the smell of Italian food in the air, having a glass of red wine at a nice restaurant.
It's a shame that I wasn't born early enough to see real Venice before it started to fall apart. It's looking pretty run down these days. Still beautiful but way past its prime
>>344523314
Bruma was comfy as fark. Oblivion had nice towns because they didn't spend any time working on the rest of the world, everything else was generated like a minecraft map.
>>344523314
The one that's pretty far up north that's only a couple huts and has the daedra museum was cozy.
>>344523314
It is, but that's because Skyrim opts for a more harsh, punishing environment. Comfy's simply not on the menu.
I'd probably live in Anvil if they hadn't described the excessive humidity and constant smell of feces
I like the ramshackle look of the place and the people that live in it but I don't think I could tolerate that for more than two days
I'd live in the Imperial City described by the pocket book. Pity the implementation in Oblivion was lame as fuck by comparison.
>>344523314
Skyrim's comfiest town was meant to be the biggest shit hole in the province.
I would totally live in Riften though.
>>344521707
I would definitely not want to live in a world with such shit graphics.
>>344523178

>>344523735
>implying it didn't look absolutely shit back then as well
>>344523647
but anon it's a medieval fantasy town with sewer system connected to the river running through town, all that water is filled with poop and you can always smell it.
>>344523735
>Oblivion is literally 10 years old
like tears... in rain...
Modded post-apocalyptic Boston is quite pretty despite being filled with mutated assholes.
>>344523748
thats because Talos used chim-chimeru to make it a comfy place, Skyrim got no such treatment, so it looks like a proper depressing northern province, outside of falkreath and riften
though I actually like it, maybe because I lived in the south my whole life and always wanted to move to a colder place
>>344523314
Most cities in Skyrim are intentionally meant to be shitholes. There's only one city in Oblivion that's meant to be a shithole.
>>344521829
I would live here.
I wouldn't mind living in Whiterun if the NPCs were all replaced. I remember the first time I saw Whiterun...
Skyrim was my first TES game. I had just finished that spooky barrow quest for the Riverwood trader and he tells me to walk down the path to Whiterun. By then it was already dusk. So I head down the path still feeling a bit spooked from the draugr I encountered earlier, not really knowing what to expect, when I see it in the distance. The lights all lit up against the moonlit sky. You know how Skyrim nights near Whiterun are, it's just tall grass as far as the eye can see (at least how I remember it) with the mountains looming in the distance. It was just a flat plains, and felt like the largest outdoor playing field ever. It wasn't lonely either, there were actually random NPCs fighting a giant right outside.
>>344523781
That is true

>>344523178
>giant heaving tits
>Is this from a mod?
duh
>>344523685
I disagree somewhat. I remember when it came out everyone was impressed with the graphics, personally I hadn't seen such good use of bump maps in many games either. The biggest problem nowadays I think is that the game features no anisotropic filtering option at all, but it desperately needs it to not be a blurry/muddy mess. Here's a screenshot that's vanilla but AA and AF forced only.
Chorrol > Skingrad > Anvil = Bruma > Cheydinhal = Imperial City > Bravil >> Leyawiin >>>> Kvatch (obviously)
God, Oblivion really has some fucking top tier town designs though. Leyawiin is the only one I don't like aesthetically.
>>344523984
I meant the area. Character mods are more common than new areas.
>>344523943
Nobody gives a shit about your stupid fucking story about a horrible fucking game, pleb.
>>344521829
What are those glass bubble rooms?
>>344523949
Yeah.
>>344523943
Oblivion/Skyrim does have nice moments like that
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sometimes also does
but the immersion is one reason Ill keep buying TES games no matter what
>>344523314
It would be if every single city didn't have those giant looming walls completely surrounding you because the hardware was too shit to make it otherwise. I feel claustrophobic inside Cyrodiil towns.
>>344524020
LODs were still horrible though. Not that it's that much better in Skyrim.
>>344524020
>I remember when it came out everyone was impressed with the graphics
not true at all, everyone was laughing at the horrific LOD that made everyone look young from about 10 meters, but when you got closer they looked like a dry potato
>>344524046

The entirety of Toussaint is comfy tier desu.

>>344525807
What's the best time to start the DLC's? Haven't played the game since I finished it shortly after release so I want to start another playthrough with the DLC.
>quiet and secluded
>cozy little shops and homes
>chill mages all around
This place is ultimate comfy.
>>344526009
I would give a lot for a witcher 3 game placed entirely in a bigger Toussaint.
>>344526184
I played main game - dlc 1 - dlc 2. But you should be at level 35 to enter Toussaint. I guess you will get the invitation quest with that level.

>>344532002
OR MAYBE, because they wanted to?
you can't even use the argument "hurr always start with the first game in the series" autists like you seem to love so much, since there's no coherent story. who play what in which order is nobody's business but their own. you can sperg all you want
>>344523168
i didn't like Ico because it was just one long escort mission and Yorda was stupid af
I wanna live here. It looks so cozy...
>>344532189
Why? The games stories don't connect, it's not like you need to play morrowind before oblivion, daggerfall before morrowind, arena before daggerfall. You can play any of them any time and come back and play the others, you'll experience it differently, I doubt it'd be a worse experience, or a better one.
Was arena your first Elder Scrolls? Maybe it was, but I'm sure a lot of these idiots complaining about people playing skyrim first only played oblivion before or morrowind and oblivion.
>>344524973

>>344532435
the stories don't have to connect when the lore is connected. when you play a game at the right time you aren't scrutinizing things that were improved or made worse in later games. you can take it all in without any outside interference.
>>344532696
Yeah. I could just feel the belly rumbling with hunger
As long as they have decent internet I'd move here in an instant
I'd live inside pic related
>>344532435
Meta plot is connected.
We knew about oblivion crisis prophecy before oblivion and blades knew of last dragon born prophecy before Skyrim.
Since redguard meta plot is connected and there are hints to the next game.
>>344532707
You do realize all of the is available on the internet right? You don't have to play any of the elder scrolls games to read up on the lore.
Assuming you're the same guy as >>344532002 and >>344525451 I don't understand why you have such a problem with people coming to a series after the original game. You make it seem like the people who had never played an elder scrolls game caused skyrim to less in depth than previous games.
>>344532225
Not him but learning the lore and taking on the Meta plot is the best way to go.
I have nothing against people who played whatever wherever, but it's better.

if you think that reading lore on the internet is the same experience as discovering it in a game, then i can see you are of the braindead millenial generation and your lack of creativity will prevent you from understanding what i am trying to say. and no i am not that same guy. and yes Skyrim was a barebones elder scrolls game because people who had never even played Oblivion were going to buy it.
>>344522073
Man, Human Revolution is ugly.
>>344533193
its a mod that makes the game like a jungle, it almost halves your framerate though because of this .ini tweak you have to do, it's pretty retarded but that's bethesda for you

Very much this. I came from a small village so it really hyped me up for university.
why
>>344533371
Yeah im not sure i can stomach fallout 4 anymore after 187 hours anyways
>>344533241
I agree, it's more fun to play an elder scrolls game and learn the lore but for someone new to series it's an option rather than paying, they have access to it. They can understand the lore if they wanted to.
>>344533279
You'll still get the same amount of information though, you just won't be able to experience the game and its mechanics. Are you upset at the people who played oblivion first? What about Morrowind? Asthetically it was the most pleasing expansion to date, with a lot of flavor. However Blizzard fucked up the 10/10 setting with some of the worst skinner box shit ever. Ironically enough we thought that was the worst it could get, then WoD happened..,

Really? I could've sworn your original point was "the stories don't have to connect when the lore is connected. when you play a game at the right time you aren't scrutinizing things that were improved or made worse in later games. you can take it all in without any outside interference."
Not, people who read the lore on a website aren't creative enough to experience the game properly.
>tfw its been 4 years since my guild disbanded for the release of GW2
>tfw GW2 was shit and everyone parted ways because of it
I want to go back.
