Friday the 13th is objectively the best of the bunch.
It's the perfect nerd episode, with all the suspense and atmosphere from James' horror films combined with the AVGN style humor and NES dorkiness. It's perfectly paced and written, no flaws to be found here.
It was also one of the first episodes where he really perfected the AVGN formula/structure and the later episodes pretty much just copy from it.
Last but not least: it tells a story, you fire up the episode and from the get-go the feel is weirdly off and you are wondering why James is praising the game for once, won't spoil it but..

Like others have pointed out, James really is a stand up guy. He hasn't let his fame get to him, probably because he has a genuine grasp on the fact that if he alienates his fans, then he alienates his entire audience. On YouTube, he has (almost) complete freedom to do what he wants, and how he wants. Want to make a two minute review? Go ahead. Want to make an hour long one? Feel free. James is probably one of the most level headed e-celebs ever.
James also is a bretty great guy. He didn't auction his stuff off to make more money, he didn't squander it, and he didn't try to make up some bullshit story to get more money. If you're giving it away, you really don't need to convince people you're doing a charity run with it.
If you really go and look at it all, James is probably one of the best e-celebs out there. Look at a ton of others, and you'll see that none of them hold a candle to the amount of content he creates (good or bad) on a regular basis, and the amount of effort he puts into his videos.
