PC gaming is not in a good place right now.
Every day there are more and more casuals coming in. Every day there are more and more publishers trying to monopolize the entire platform. There are more developers releasing dumbed down games. There are very little real big games developed solely for PC nowadays. I'm worried about the future of PC gaming. These last few years haven't been great, and I'm afraid it's going to get even worse. I pray for a renaissance in PC gaming soon.

its been pretty much just as good as it has been for awhile now in terms of actual game quality. nice appeal to tradition though. ofc some worse business practices have been going on arguably, which is a generally a bad thing. casuals coming in are not necesarilly a bad thing and neither is monopolization, though they can both lead to some undesireable things if we aren't careful. I'd say we need to be careful but also unlikely anything too major will happen i think.
