Why did I need to round out my SPECIAL just to be able to beat Temple of Tutorials and where can I find a gun? I want to like the game but it's pretty weird so far, me being a Fallout 3 baby.

No, I let the hype of Fallout 2 get to me and I was too tempted to try that one out first. Plus the promo armor happens to be my favorite from Fallout 4 so I guess I was drawn to it like a little autist would be. Yeah, not ashamed to admit that I like the Beth Fallouts, but I know I'm not really a fan of Fallout in general til I've played the Black Isle/Obsidian titles.

Fallout 1 let you roleplay straight from the start, Fallout 2 threw it all in the trash to give players a cookie cutter experience because it's easier for the game to account for the players' decisions if they basically have none

Btw your problem so far seems that you aren't approaching the game at the right angle. You need to take it slow and enjoy the roleplaying expirience per se.

That's actually what I want to do but this game scares me. I feel like the roleplay experience will turn into a combat experience real fast and I'm gonna get fucked cuz I have no gun or money or hit chance atm
