>give the character with the best defense capabilities a parry
>choose not to give this parry to anyone else
>choose not to design the game with parries in mind at all
>can parry vreversals
>give him one of the absolute highest damage outputs in the game
>give him one of the only meterless reversals with invincibility in the entire game
>give him a good health pool to kill the risk reward
>give him one of the only completely safe uninterruptable MP blockstrings
>also give him a huge advantage on throws that lead to excellent setups
>give him the absolute best jump ins and air normals in the game
>basically make him a better grappler than the actual grapplers
>axe kick meaty leads to massive damage
>is 0 on block thus leading to a mixup where if you do a normal, his parry will let him do a third of your health
>solar plexus gives MASSIVE damage and can be used as a meaty
>it's only -2 on block thus meaning it is completely unpunishable
>extremely reliable vtrigger that can be cancelled into mid combo
>super in the corner during vtrigger leads to a free unblockable combo
>vtrigger only costs two bars for no reason
>out of all his ground normals, only three of them are punishable on block
>these three are his overhead, sweep, and crouching HP
>all his CC normals are safe on block

Seriously why is the balancing for this game so shit? How can anyone have fun in this game? Why does Ryu get such a versatile vskill while many characters have ones that are literally useless? What decides the length of a vtrigger bar? Why are some of the absolute best vtriggers only two bars while some mediocre ones take three?

And the worst part is that while definitely one of the best, there are other characters just as good as him if not better. It's fucking MKXL all over again
