Is pic related and the PS2 worth picking up a CRT? I never got to play either growing up.

Sure, CRTs are cheap as fuck nowadays, why not?

I have a toaster GPU.

Depends on what you want to play, but mostly yes.
I tried playing Burnout 3 on newer TV's, oncoming traffic is just a blur.
Text heavy games, with lots of menus and all that probably are bad as well.

But thats not even SNES generation we're talking here

Go for it if you can get one easily but its not like you need it at all cost

you dont really need a good one, which one do you have ?

A lot of CRTs have Component inputs.

Honestly, the PS2/GC/XB look decent on LCDs, and this is coming from a person who owns a 32" Trinitron.

Its only worth the investment if you have scanline-producing (240p) consoles like the PS1, N64, and earlier.

GT 720.

Most people have been telling me that these games get "problems" when you play them on modern TVs.

If your only option is composite no. Just use Wii2HDMI and hook it up to a monitor/TV. Get an HDMI convereter for PS2 too.

they're the two best consoles every made, so yeah I kinda think so. underage faggot.

No need to get a GameCube. Just pick up a Wii and install Nintendont.
Wii also has a bunch of emulators. Very handy if you have a laggy PC monitor or no good PC controller, since on the Wii you can play on a CRT with a GC controller.
For the GBA emulator VBA GX, you definitely want to get version 2.3.0 at least, otherwise there's lots of slowdown.

Most LCDs handle 480p decently enough, in comparison to complete dogshit to lackluster 240p/480i support.

For the GC though, the Wii is a better option unless you feel like dropping the $250+ that the component cables go for these days.

VBAGX (the gbatemp fork at least) is decent, but you'd be MUCH better off using the mGBA core in Retroarch; Much more accurate, full speed in just about all cases, and with the right settings you can get correct 1:1 display of GB/GBC/GBA games in 240p("144p/160p" technically)
