So what did /v/ think of Inside?
Just finished playing through it 1 hour ago.
Best game I played in a while, thought-provoking and really emotionally impacting. Visuals and sounds were stunning, animation was top-notch.
19.99$/10 would pay for it again.
The ending was fucked right up.
Great to watch, not sure why i'd buy something like this in the days of youtube gaming.
Spectacular animations near the end.
Don't read the spoilers if you don't want to spoil the game for yourself
the boy is asperm
theblobis anegg
the blob guided the boy towards itself to enhance itself to escape, because the boy is a drone. The blob controls the water thing too, using it to enhance the boy furtherthe blob is already extremely durable, intelligent, physically adept and can control all the dronesit will enact its revenge against the ones who created it and the drones once it grows and evolves outside the labs confines

>simple 1:1 "this IS this" analogous thinking
*snore*

Not sure if shill.
Seriously, I was thinking about buying this game but I don't know if it's worth $20 buckaroos or not

I may be super-biased since I played it, but I honestly don't recommend watching this.
It's a game that relies heavily on the concept of control and interacting with the environment, even if it's linear.
Simply *watching* it would take away from the experience imho.

20$ were excessive for some people since it's also a 3-4h long game with medium to low replayability value. If you're a close-fisted kinda guy, wait for when it goes on sale for 10$ or less.

>medium to low replayability value
zero replay value.

Inside was short, but I really enjoyed it. Lots of good moments.
Not sure whether or not it topped the beginning of Limbo in terms of aesthetics though. Inside was more creative and disturbing, but there was something about the minimalistic shadowy forest atmosphere and never being able to catch up with that girl in Limbo that resonated with me.

Watching it didn't take anything away from the experience. None of the puzzles are challenging, I simply wanted to see what was going to happen, and that's all most players will be in for. to see what's going to happen
you can watch it, there's no particularly skill-based gameplay or anything. I don't think you're missing *anything* by watching it.

Currently my GOTY
>mfw I just finished it
Here's a summary since Ive made a thread about it yesterday already
>good game but way too short for 20 bucks (letalone 5 bucks only for Denuvo)
>copied 60% of their "riddles" from Limbo
>the "twist" was okay, the ending was plaine bad (eventhoughsomeone mentioned that the end was still fake with the miniature model pointing toward it and the trees making a different sound
>8/10

no shit sherlock

>miniature model pointing toward it and the trees making a different sound
Must have missed that.He might never have left he lab then?

Thats the thought

Inside, as opposed to Limbo, does not rely on puzzles at all. They are all quite easy indeed but that was never the point here
.
I saw what I think was a video review of Limbo once and I remember the guy talked about how Limbo nailed the sense of "feel" of the game, even when you do something as simple as pull a lever. Inside does that 5 times better. That's why you should actively play it instead of just passively watch it, to "feel" it better, thus immersing yourself more.

The wooden walls he crashes through at the end are similar to walls of a movie set.
>>344465203
I found the trees to be suspiciously tiny as well.

>>344465203If it was an illusion or hallucination you'd think they'd choose a more pleasant illusion than turning into an abomination and dying on a beach.

>It's a game that relies heavily on the concept of control and interacting with the environment,
absolute and utter bullshit

It upsets me how common this is
I felt some Akira vibes with this game.
