I played the game when I was 16 years old and in high school. Many things made an impression on me, including Eva and lots of other 'entry level' stuff. But when playing FFVII, I just got frustrated by bad controls, bad translation, QTE events popping up out of nowhere, dozens of hidden junk you needed a guide to know existed and pretty much all of disk 2.
I replayed the game recently and actually enjoyed it more because I understood the limitations of pre rendered backgrounds and was using a guide. But it still points out that the issues some people have with the game as being 'dated' were still issues back when it first came out.
From my view, people put up with all the gameplay and design issues because they wanted to see the next FMV cutscene.

Now if he had said "See, I wasn't lying!", then it would make sense. Because we understand he's REFERENCING something. Instead, it just sounds like he's answering an accusation, when no one said anything to him.
Its simply a mess up in the translation. Which is easy to do when translating from Japanese to English. They just didn't catch it in playtesting (if they even playtested it at all).

In game, her breasts are bigger than her head. Both in battle and in FMVs. And they purposefully focused on the breasts by having her stretch in her victory pose as well as the 'jiggling' in FMVs. That image you just posted doesn't look like her in game model at all.

In the case of the spanish translation, because it's so poorly written it felt like an italian action movie knockoff, without spellchecking and shit (in one of the easier languages to spellcheck).
The thing about that, is that it also gave the game a spice I cannot imagine being in the original, "serious", script of the game; and the remake is going to make things even duller. Fond memories.
