I got one yesterday, sent it in for a return today.
It was not even close to as good as mouse and keyboard for the games I normally wouldn't use a controller with, and way worse than xbone controller for the games I would use a controller with. Just kinda shit all around.

I actually like this controller a lot and I've been using it for a few months. It takes a little bit of tinkering to get your settings up to mouse level precision but it's really great.
There are still certain games that you can only really play with a keyboard and mouse, but for the vast majority of stuff I'm really happy using the Steam controller.
The customization software for mapping the controls is really, really great. I've done my part developing some good mappings for less popular games and submitted them to the community. Usually when I boot up a new game I just check the most popular configs and then tweak them to my liking.
It's kinda a nice little summary of PC gaming. It takes a little bit more work to get running but the resulting experience is an improvement. I like it a lot.
