Actually good VN recommendations?
Thinking about trying a VN. I've tried to get into some before but they're usually 90% fluff and 10% plot. Are there any VN's that are are concise, with tight pacing and a good story? Don't care if there's "plot" or not.
Umineko is fucking fantastic and it just came out on steam. Even though it won't be as good an experience as when it was being released. All that delightful autism with theories and shit.

Why would that fix a image being a terrible format for recommendations?
Also. VNDB is a mess to try and find VN's you are interested in. Nothing beats having a dialog and discussion when it comes to recommendations.
If someone linked me that picture I would never have played Majikoi because nothing about it stands out.
What made me play it was talking about someone who recommended it to me, and now it's my favorite VN..

Stop being a sperg. This is a discussion board. Anyone can google top 10 lists. OP asked for good VN's with strict editing which is a difficult thing to quantify on your database websites and may warrant some discussion. Or just, recommendations in general are better when people specifically say what they liked about it.

Well yes. Except on a smaller scale. It's why anime discussion is often so much more fun on /v/ than on /a/. Because the people on /a/ have already discussed everything and anything. Same in most generals. And when someone enters that doesn't already know everything that has already been discussed, he's quickly outed.
