Zelda will have a few mistakes dealing with the open world, such as there not being QUITE enough stuff in the overworld but will ultimately be the better game due to its mechanics and open-ended design. There will still be a fuckton of things to do in the overworld but there's gonna be a fair amount of travelling.
Horizon will also be good but won't sell as much and will have less to do.Unless Horizon has a beast-taming and riding mechanic I haven't seen, I don't think it'll be as fun. I want to ride those robot apatosauruses.
The Legend of Zelda will do better, simply because of brand recognition and the fact that it's been too long since there's been a new console Zelda.

They both look like boring open world games but I get the impression that Zelda will at least have some focus through dungeons and the like, so I'd say it'll be better.
Which sells more depends on if you're looking at first week vs lifetime and how well the NX does really. I'm sure if you compared first week Wii U sales, even for a zelda game, they'd probably fall short of Horizon just due to the lower install base. Lifetime though I'd wager Zelda wins out easily since I can't imagine Horizon will sell at all after the first few weeks while Zelda will be a mainstay seller for years to come on the NX.

As someone who owns both consoles, i'm generally more excited about Zelda.
The presentations i've been shown of Horizon doesn't really excite me because the protaganist just has to comment on everything (I am assuming this is just for the sake of it being a presentation and doesn't actually happen in the game) and the game itself doesn't seem to be doing anything that every other open world AAA game hasn't done already, it's good looking and has robot dinosaurs so i guess there's that, maybe it'll be a pleasant surprise

Zelda is exciting people, and it looks a lot better as a game. Horizon has better graphics, but Zelda has a better everything else. After watching the Zelda gameplay and gaming back to watch Horizon again Horizon's gameplay looks so boring and dull. The trees and the mountains and the foliage are all just set pieces to hide pop in for your cinematic experience where you press a button and your character performs complex moves for you.
It's funny because I was initially worried before E3 that Zelda would be this same kind of boring generic trash, but Zelda is gong back to its roots and adding so much incentive for constant exploration and the world in general looks like so much more fun to explore. The verticality and variety look unmatched.

Actually I was watching an interview with one of the devs and they said the team were reluctant to work on Horizon but grew to enjoy working on it so at least it's a partial labor of love.
They wanted to continue making Killzone games according to the dev and that that was next after Horizon.
