Casuals, the lot of you
>>
>>344413726
I remember reading some horror stories about this game, but I don't quite remember what makes it so bad. It has literally cheating AI or something, right?
>>
>>344414393
I'm not sure if it was this game, but one of them had a final boss that forced you to go through 3 duels with your life points staying between them.
>>
>>344414393
I played it as a kid until I got to a point where it became literally unwinnable. I don't know how I got that far, it was all dumb luck.

But yes, the AI is ridiculously unfair and cheats constantly, as well as the game barely giving you anything decent to fight back with (very low money/bad cards compared to the previous game). The AI is almost rubber band AI, they get infinitely better if you're winning and pull whatever they need out of their ass.

In short, it's shit.
>>
this and forbidden memories are both literal cheating pieces of shit, eternal duelist soul was too easy but tourement 04 and 06 are great

I got the one yu-gi-oh game on PSn, becasue it's supposed to be good, but i just don't have the time to play it.

also, Yugi us cute, CUTE!
>>
"In Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction, Reshef plays a beatdown Deck, stacked to the brim with strong monsters in order to wail on the opponent's Life Points. If his initial 40,000 Life Points is not a big enough threat to the player, Reshef also has the Egyptian God Cards, and will summon them given the opportunity. Reshef will usually play three copies of "Swords of Revealing Light" to give himself enough turns to tribute three monsters, and sometimes even steals the player's monsters with "Change of Heart" to summon his God Card."

Fuck, this sounds unreal.

The biggest issue is your inability to fight against the increasingly bullshit odds your pitted against.

>you have 8000 life points

>Your opponent has 120000

Etc...
>>
>>344414393
If I remember right you had to go home and rest to refill any life points that you lost, cards cost a certain amount of points to be put into your deck and you have a max number of points, so you can't fill your deck with really good cards, the AI is a bastard, and at the end you have to play like 3 guys in a row with a fuckload of life points each without giving you a chance to regain your life points

Your only hope I've found is to literally slap out your own God card since they're mostly immune to all his bullshit cards

I beat both that and the prequel Sacred Cards.

I hated the way the game stopped and scanned the entire field upon EVERY move made, shit really got annoying. And of course the constant reminder of the continuous effects.
>>
>>344422934
You just reminded me how annoying it is to have Mystical Space Typhoon in any of the games. Literally after every single action it would ask you if you wanted to activate it.

It's a shame there are no spin-offs anymore that aren't actually about card games, probably too many monsters now to practically do so.

They won't put any efforts because if the game happen to be good they will hurt the card market. That's also the main reason for which they stopped doing Tag Force games.

I hated that game, it was practically a copy-paste of this one with some changes...except every change made the damn game worse, more tedious and frustrating.

At the end of the game I still wasn't allowed include any 1-4 star monsters with more than 1200 attack in my deck while the enemies threw out 1800 ATK 4 star monsters whenever they wanted.

I don't know how people tolerate playing old yugioh. It's so boring and usually comes down to who got the better beater+traps combo in the starting hand. They've gone a bit overboard nowadays but at least you make a bunch of meaningful decisions and there's bunch of room for outsklling
>>
>>344435176

Solitaire isn't any better and if you actually think it's better you need to take a break from children's card games to get your head on straight.

Konami is releasing a new PC game soon so the NAS has been going around and trying to take down simulators like Dueling Network and YGOpro.
>>
>>344418136
I bought this as a kid thinking it would play like the actual card game.

I loved/hated it.
>>
>>344436276
Thats quite dumb, a lot of people still going buy the games. If they fucking localize it. Also simulators are harmless, since pretty much everyone that play the games use it to test or plan something. Hell, even pokemon showdown still alive.
>>
>>344436276

And the Streisand effect is already working. All those years and they still haven't learned anything.
it's open source software, everyone can put the files on a server and put it online.
Since then the traffic on other YGOPRO servers have skyrocketed.
Not necessary to say that the server itself is obviously still online and cannot really be shutdow in the first place as it just manages simple commands between the clients like "Activate card #XXX".
Easiest thing would be to strip the YGO core files from the program and put them on hosters sharing the links all over the net, so people just need to download the application, download the pack from another source and update it back to the normal state.

Yeah, but it must suck for people who chose Dueling Network as their main platform for simulating since that was taken down and it was flash based in browser.

People like to complain about synchro but in reality I think Konami enjoys making synchro decks as clunky as they can.
>>
You can't the game is impossible I wrote a long angry rant about it explaining why it's impossible before someone screencap'd it I don't have it
>>
Are there any cards available in the game that could let you destroy his deck in order for him to not be able to play his broken ass shit?
>>
>>344413726
Grinding till you unlocked that dark knight dude that could summon dark magician knight thing was the best strategy as you could discard him from ykur hand whenever you wanted to grt a monster with like 2800 attack points
>>
>>344440737
Any card? There's not any decent card reasonably available in the entire game. Fucking everything requires an absurd level and there's nothing proper you can grind against to get them.
>>
>>344440737
Anything strong costs a asinine amount of money and then has super high Deck Level requirements which prevent you from stacking your deck with strong monsters.
>>
>>344440737
Just run Inferno tempest and hope you have a way to clear the field.
>>
Wasn't there a Yugioh game that had you duel everyone in a Battle City like format and the final boss was Malik/Atem? I remember it being on the GBA.
