1. Nostalgia. So far it's only gen 1 and this game kind of gives you the feeling of adventure fairly well when going somewhere to catch a pokemon.
2. Excuse to go out for a walk. I mean, most of us here are fatasses with no social lives who normally wouldn't go for a walk since it gives you no real profit. But with Pokemon GO, it does.
3. Something to do while in public transportation. Wastes time pretty well (as well as battery) and makes the way feel a little bit shorter due to you being focused on trying to get a pokestop or catch a random pokemon aiming the phone at some people in a bus.
