Did I miss something? What is exactly the fun in this game? All feel like monster running to evolve, team get the monster and kill it in no time, or team is retarded and monster evolve twice, then monster win. As Goliath, what you need to remember is that after you get to stage 2, getting domed doesn't mean you're trapped in the dome with the hunters, it means they're trapped in with you. Chimp out in the biggest possible way and you'll win 99% of your matches against pubs.

Yeah, Stage 2 Goliath is arguably better than stage 3 just because it's smaller. It's more than capable of taking down an entire team of Hunters.
Generally as a rule of thumb, only go to stage 3 if you've been domed and failed to win twice.

New Decoy is a lot more efficient for offensive purposes though. You can basically just mash the decoy key in any battle and cause chaos since you can attack and move freely and they won't be able to know which one is the real one, while dealing a fuckton of damage.

Does a hunter stay down after it is killed? I got a guy down, I hang around its corpse after it is killed and I got the message that it is dead. Once that happened I ran away, when they caught up to me I remember seeing four of them then I died.
Afterward I play on the hunter side, it was easy as fuck to win the game and the guy went down easily like I did

because in the old game the dome was not guaranteed to trap the monster, it spun in the air for a few seconds before activating and was a thrown skill,
many times I was able to juke the tracker by pretending to run toward him and then turn and let him eat my dust as the dome got wasted,
the devs seem to be working toward making it much easier for the hunters to force a fight at stage one and two to make things more fun for the hunters and less hide and seek

The trapper would be the only one to throw the dome, the tracker was the only one who could track, so no planet scanner.
The game had a shit ton of foliage so stealthing was really usefull, now its a run fest

To make more fights. 99% of Evolve matches had the monster hiding for 10 minutes while the hunters ran in circles doing nothing. He could be trapped every now and then but if the tracker missed the monster would just go hide again. It was boring. So now everyone can trap the monster and force him to fight more often. Which is an admission that the core concept of the game was really boring and the way to fix it was to make it more like CoD.

I just started today and the game is really not fun at all. I hardly know how to play monster and it is obvious that other new players don't either.
Evolve is a game where the publisher didn't hire a 3rd party team to test the game. So for years this Evolve team tested their own game, continuing to grow their own bias. Then when they release it no one fucking likes the game because the devs created a game only they enjoy.

It sounded fun to me too. It really wasn't. I have never been so bored by a multiplayer game before. The hunting part sucked because there was never any threat. The monster wasn't going to attack in the first half of the game. So you just walked in circles waiting for him to be done playing the single player phase of the game and max his evolution. Then shit would be over in 2 minutes and you'd go back to the 10 minute loading screens. In a typical hour playing Evolve you would get maybe 3 minutes of gameplay.
The people who originally bought it got fucked and now it's free for everyone. Feels pretty good, especially after all those fags spammed my youtube channel defending the shit DLCs.

Abe and Caira for now ... but still thinking about making things spicier and probably more interesting. At level 1 the monster is weaker than the hunters. At level 2 they're about evenly matched. At level 3 the monster is way overpowered. You need to run and evolve before you engage the hunters.

just fucking run as far as you can, eat what you can on the way, when the hunters spawn they tend to use planet tracker right away, pretend to head one way for 5 seconds, then start sneaking the other way, after you get far enough start running and eating again. Until you git gud, try not to fight at stage one if you can help it.
