I've done quite a bit of research on Legion without getting into the Alpha and everything I have seen suggests it will be WoD part 2. There is also a very large focus on making the game a lot more like Diablo 3's adventure mode with bounties, random dungeon levels and challenges.

I've recently - in the aftermath of WoD and Nostalrius - hit my absolute rock bottom in anticipation for Legion.
I know I'd probably enjoy levelling for the first and second time, but being part of that now shit community again? Having to find myself a new guild, which will ultimately just end in Drama, just to take part in raids seems like it's just not worth the effort anymore.
The only shred of hope I have left for Blizzard are Legacy servers - as if that's ever gonna happen - and Warcraft 4 - probably even less likely to happen.

The issue with Garrisons weren't the missions, it was the fact that there was utterly no reason to leave them. Everything could be done from the Garrison, from Professions to Gold-Making to PVP tracking.
Order Halls only have one vendor (Order Hall Armor, a weapon X-Mog or two, a few item upgrades.), the Missions Board, the Artifact Forge, and a portal back to Dalaran. Literally nothing else aside from a few unimportant doodads and NPCs.

There's hardly any incentive to play Legion. Economy is fucked so everyone can buy raid carries from top guilds by just paying Blizzard for tokens and trading them. Gear you obtain from PVE and PVP content will become obsolete eventually and there's no reason to keep them or strive to unlock it other than for Barbie dress up transmogs.
Everything about WoW feels so shallow now. All people care about is item levels and looking like a slut rather than having a good adventure or having some unique experiences that a MMO player should have rather than being railroaded into the same linear progression path as everyone else.

But hey, guess what, there's also a bunch of Terracotta assholes determined to rule the world. OH SHIT THEIR EMPEROR IS USING TITAN POWERS. But we got it. Then Garrosh decides he wants to be a Shadow Priest and eats an Old God's heart(kinda). Beat him, about to kill him, but Pandas get all uppity and want to have a trial.

WoD was a shitfest because the end-game was beyond meh. There was nothing to do aside from log in every day, do the daily activity, then log out after collecting you gold.
Sure the levelling was decent but after a single run it got boring, I say this while playing through Spires of Arak this very instant.
Quest design is alright, but I preferred Mists.
Boss Fights were the only really good part, and even then they were more or less the end-game. I actually like PTR from a casual perspective since it let me do those fights, but outside of that it's pretty bad.
Another note is the aesthetic. This expansion is fucking ugly. They tried to make everything look all savage and gritty and while it's good in some places (Blackhand) it's awful in others (Any gear that isn't Blackrock related.).
That's not even hitting the lowlights of the expansion.

Transmog now tracks any item you're picked up and archives those appeapances, and those items can be used for xmog without actually having the item now. It's also accoutn wide now, so a plate piece you pick up on your paladin can be used by your warrior.
