The twist is that there is no twist.
The shifty party member was totally loyal, and just looked that way.
All the people you killed actually were the bad guys.
Your superiors' vague orders actually worked, and weren't undermining your organization.
The random trinket from your childhood wasn't a clue to your secret identity, you're actually just a bit nostalgic.
The fact that everything's straightfoward will drive players to dig through the game for months, convinced there's a secret ending that reveals everything was a dream or cover-up.
People just can't accept a normal and honest story.
