Well, if you buy either one, it means you would likely by the 2nd gen of the other headset somewhere down the line.
So the question is, would you buy Vive now and PSVR2/PS5 later? or buy PSVR and get Vive2 later?
If you really WANT VR porn, then Vive is your only choice. I fully expect PS5 to have its own updated and superior headset.

while I agree with the controller part, the IR sensors are fine in roomscale unless you turn your head around, but the controllers are coming with an extra sensor to put on the other side of the room for room scale. To say the sensors are incapable of roomscale is just false. However, an actual real concern is that the hdmi cable coming from the rift is not as long as the vive.

Well I still have reservations about using the IR cameras for multi-camera tracking.
Also, developers have been told to preference a 180 degree standing range for Rift/Touch support, which isn't encouraging. This is also a hurdle that the PSVR has but possibly more pronounced.
