When I play videogames, it's for the combat and movement mechanics. Story just isn't what I'm looking for when I open a game.
It's the same reason I could never get into graphic novels or comic books. I end up having to read them twice; once to look at the art and once to read the story. And in the end, they have less detail and character development than a book, and more sloppy art than a standalone piece. Combining the two doesn't give me anything, I'd rather just enjoy one or the other.

Lol. I understand. Admittedly the cutscenes in MGS games tend to overstay their welcome but the gameplay is pretty fun if it's your bag. The VR missions in 1 and 2 are really fun and they're pure gameplay.
