I've only played Sengoku Rance, but that's not my impression at all. It may change later in the game but where I'm at I spend 3-20 minutes using my action fans. I get attacked someplace and spend another five minutes tops gameplaying, and then between turns I have to read about Xavier, one to three clans and often read a sometimes painfully long sex scene. That adds up to 5-40 minutes.
Can I get something scary and if possible no nudity? gore is ok though

Good mysteries with twists that the reader hadn't considered are rare. Those sort of "hidden trick" and "locked room murder" take effort and authors that can actually write them aren't going to be in the shitty VN business except Dangus Ranpus but that story uses the game setting as a medium..
