Why won't you obsidrones realize that fallout 4 isn't meant to be played as is, but its designed as a modding platform with a light story to give modders ideas? I thought this is what you guys wanted...a game with more moddability.

Hello Fallout fans,
It's the real Todd Howard here, it has come to my attention that our fans are not happy with our work on Fallout 4... After seeing my face in a meme on a facebook post earlier, I decided to reverse image search this website. After doing weeks of extensive research on gaming forums such as this we have come to an agreement. We are currently discussing possibilities with Obsidian to create a new Fallout game set in either the state of California or Illinois, and we will be adding back many of the mechanics that were in high demand from Fallout: New Vegas. We ensure you, that oldschool and new players alike will love the new fallout. Development will start immediately after we have completed Elder Scrolls 6. Again I can't give any more specific information at this time as we haven't yet finished planning with Elder Scrolls 6, but I can assure you we have heard the cries of our fanbase.

That's a shitty excuse for the games disappointed reception. The bottom line is they changed a lot with Fallout 4 and many fans of the series aren't happy with those changes. Even Todd admits the dialogue wheel was a mistake.

Yes, you can mod it more than Skyrim, it has a higher allocatable RAM limit, which is the only inhibiting factor to Modding when it comes to Bethesda games.Skyrim rerelease will probably have more though.

Have you ever seen the quests mods for new vegas? I can count the actual good ones with one hand and they are mostly awful, they look like radiant quests. Most mods are based around adding other things like weapons/armor/items (which are mostly awful too with the exeption of the work of a few talented modders), better graphics and textures, gameplay changes like making the game harder, etc. New vegas have a solid foundation and all mods do is improve upon it since it's already a good rpg. So modders help making it even better with mods like CCO, various mods to fix the legion quests, etc. You don't see a mod that completely changes the entire story of new vegas since it's not necessary, it's already good. It's impossible to fix 4 since the story is so shit its beyond fixing so all they do is make porn mods.

Real Todd here, honestly we went way overbudget once we added the costs of the companion app, and the custom pipboys as exclusives. We simply didn't plan on so many people buying those damn things. We had to order more to be made. They cost about 110.67 dollars each to make. Once we saw this we had to cut alot of the original content and sell it as DLC. Originally Automatron Farharbor and Nuka World were our only planned DLC. The wasteland workshop dlcs were a part of the game and we needed to make back the revenue we lost from the pipboy preorders and the app.
Also New Fallout title coming 2022 confirmed. We will also release Fallout 5 some time around 2027 because that will be its 30th anniversary and we are planning something special.
