And you dont hold it right at the pivot point, it's a natural movement of your finger up or down. The upper bumper underside is concave so it creates an indent for your finger to press by moving upwards. Your finger is essentially on the trigger.

Early DS4 controllers had massive quality control issues on the thumb stick rubber. Even Sony acknowledged it.
I treated my DS4 no different to how I treated my PS1/2/3 Xbox/360 controllers, yet none of those thumbsticks tore apart like my DS4 and the 2 replacements did. I got so fed up I pried apart my controller and installed XB1 controller thumbsticks and guess what? They haven't torn.

The Wii U Pro controller is the best controller. You can press buttons and use both sticks at the same time. The A and X buttons are basically always available, and the B and Y buttons are just a minor adjustment in reach away.
I've never understood people with their stupid "secondary / primary" mentality. Sticks in the "primary" position let you hit the buttons below them easily without doing a claw. Sticks in the secondary position force you to claw.
Also, concave sticks are just retarded, come on Sony. You use the convex survace of a control stick to PUSH the stick away. The DS4 never ends up getting used in the intended way, because nobody's going to stick their thumbs in the cup and use it like that. You just press against the big fat rim, which is still way smaller and less stable than a convex stick would have been.

I think one of my favorite things about it is the symmetrical analog stick placement lets the controller work as a wonderful SNES-style controller as well- its really comfortable. I understand that the Dualshock controllers hypothetically do that too, but only the DS4 is comfortable to hold in any way, and I still prefer the configuration of the WiiU Pro.
