Went from 50 to 65, lost 3 ranks today though, due to being matched with the same losers constantly.
Placed at 54 and now at 53 with about 5 matches played so far.
I can't play this game with randoms. So I always wait for some people to group up with me before playing comp. You usually get at least one of them that is either an asshole or just shit who doesn't want to cooperate with the rest of the team.

I've been playing multi player FPS games going all the way back to MoHAA and I've never been screeched at by try hard weirdos in any of the games I've played. Until I jumped into competitive mode in Overwatch.

I'm really starting to get annoyed by some of the glaring balance issues that the game has that are starting to read their head at this MMR. Sudden Death in general is probably the worst idea I've ever seen in an FPS. Overtime is completely busted and needs to be changed dramatically if not outright removed. The hero balance is extremely suspect with shit like Tracer and Zarya being out of fucking control and hero stacking cheese comps becoming the norm

Placed at 52. Was stuck around 50-55 for ages until some dude in a solo match invited everyone to a group since we did pretty well, playing with them for a few hours rocketed me up to 60 and now I'm terrified of solo queuing since premades are clearly the only way to play this game.

To be honest, solo queue should be 12 vs 12 or something. Larger player counts are more forgiving in solo environments than 6 v 6 which requires a lot more coordination.

I had a game earlier where someone had commented to a genji player that genji probably isn't good for the map/side, and replied "blocked." After that, he began to shit talk everybody other than himself. In my shitter levels of low 40s.

It's insanely hard to level up because I keep getting put into games with rank 58-63s who only play DPS roles and suck at it. Whenever I do get a game of all 68+ players it's a magical experience where everyone is capable of playing any role and we don't have a Widow/McCree/Hanzo main who has no fucking clue how to shoot a pharah.

95% of my playtime is on zarya, and I just love everything about her playstyle, lmb is a fucking lighting gun alt fire is useful as fuck at range. shift lets you walk into enemy fire and soak of massive damage that just makes you stronger while e let's you save your team from bs attacks like rein charge and hooks, while also enabling high risk ults like pharah.
And gravity is obviously the ultimate combo maker, even if it's not as good as reins bs ult.

Happens all the time, if you watch Seagull or Moon you'll see them constantly play against super low rank players. Just yesterday MoonMoon was in a 6 man stack of all 70-78 players and they kept queueing into a 6 man stack of all 55-62 players.
Hell at 70 I frequently get 55s in my game and they are really fucking bad, even had a few at 44 and 47.

Matchmaking always gets shitty in team based games because the pool of players is so small. 70+ is like Master/Challenger in league and this season especially has been a major issue with guys like that getting matched with Diamond players (60s)

Pop round a corner, Zen gives you an orb and you can keep fighting. Heals lasts 3 sec when LoS is lost, that's 90hp. Just needs a bit of awareness by your teammates to make it work. With a Lucio to back him up it's fantastic.

Orb of Discord is incredibly powerful and his DPS is crazy. He's a backup healer with powerful support and damage to boot, he just lacks survivability, but it he had that too then he'd be insane.

If any player leaves the game, winner rank gain goes into toilet while losers take a full loss. It can be 5 seconds before the match ends. It can be a guy on the winning team disconnecting. The result is rank deflation proportional to how often you experience a leaver.

The problem with Zen is that he's weak, everyone knows that, but from beta Blizzard knows that even a small buff could possibly make him insanely overpowered.

Mercy's damage boost is 30% for a single teammate, Orb of Discord is 50% for a single enemy. Both have no cooldown. They're equally valuable in my books, mix both and you'll be btfo the opposite team.
