A lot of flash animators didn't think they'll become famous and have 1000's of people demand a new animation. With a bigger fanbase they are pressured to make something better than the previous animation. Also most of these animators were just teenagers making Flash animations in their spare time. Then by the time they get really famous they are in college, have a girlfriend, or have a job and don't really have much time to be animating and the people they work with are also very busy.
It's difficult keep creativity fresh for so long. It's difficult wanting to do something so demanding when there's other stuff you want to do.
Not everyone who does a Flash animation seriously sees themselves working to get a group of people to work together and put out new content every month for the next 10-20 years.
