It's a pretty good all around utility controller. I prefer my DS4 for super fast input stuff, but for games I just want to play casually and lazily it's perfect.

The trackpad is great too

While it's pretty good you can tell there are many games that just don't work well with it. I'm playing Resident Evil 4 with it and I try not to look around with the touchpad because it's not very good for doing that.

The prototypes were better before they had the analog stick.

2 sets of 4 buttons, 2 touchpads with haptic feedback, touch sensor or 4 buttons in the middle panel.

Its like how Sony can make amazing controllers in the development cycle then fuck it up with stupid shit like "triggers need pressure sensitivity" and rush in shitty triggers or how the DS4 initially used a Dpad with tak switches that made it FEEL LIKE A VITA DPAD ON A DS4
SONY WHAT THE FUCK

Xbone controller had minimal revisions. It didn't change much from prototype to final.

you must have literal baby hands. the wired 360 pad is small as fuck, and one of the most perfect controllers to hold. the only real issue is with the d-pad, which a lot of games only utilize as a menu option anyway.

if you're talking about the wireless 360, well yeah, that's a brick heavy piece of crap.

I actually like the dpad, kinda.
Maybe it's me, but take .e.g the GC controller.
After extended playtime, it always hurted my thumb shitloads because of the edges of it.

Only thing I don't like is that sometimes I press the wrong button.

>>
>>344293705
I have an old Dual Action, and unless they've changed the Dpad you're better off just buying something else.

the main reasons to go with logi are the dpad if you like it (some people hate it) and legacy directinput with rumble.
triggers are a bit stiff.
the f710 has poor short range wireless, which is a shame because its predecessor the classic rumblepad2 worked well.

Not perfect, but it at least has 6 buttons.
Why 6 button controllers aren't standard baffles me.
Playing any fighting game that has LP, MP, HP, LK, MK, HK with 4buttons is fucking infuriating.
Nowadays you either need to use triggers/bumper buttons or have an arcade controller.

You can combo buttons easier.

Not as good as a DS4 or Xbone controller for when you want to use a controller, and not as good as a keyboard and mouse.

Basically the Xbone controller for the better D-Pad.

Other than that I can't think of one. The stick position for the xbone controller is just perfect for most 3rd person JRPG's, action, and action adventure games. Your thumbs rest on the most used controls more naturally.

Unless you're playing mostly 2D games that use D-Pad, then maybe you can argue for a controller with a dual shock arrangement.
