The problem with games like OW is that their progression is too linear. Its like Dirty Bomb and why the game died. Pushing payloads is fucking retarded because that means that there is ALWAYS 1 fucking area people need to camp to stop you from actually getting to your goal. CS might not leave a shit ton of room but at least you can choose between A, B or simply killing everyone. 3 stages of victory. In OW you have exactly one, and that is a severe problem that will result in people being tired of the game. The games problem is that it takes away from the genre. The appeal of CS are muh 180 no scopes dat being da #hype. Overwatch puts the emphasis on shit like abilities and team compositions, while leaving pushing out the mechanical requirements AND taking away from other areas in terms of strategy. CS has a pretty big emphasis on approaching certain spots, faking rushes and fooling people into believing that youre about to engage which then leads to rotations and empty secondary spots. Its more about flanking and outsmarting the opponent than OW is in its current form.
And that is a problem. OW might look 'complex' due to team compositions, but because everything else is dumbed down so hard, the team compositions will become old really damn quickly. Especially due to the rather limited amount of heroes. If you put the focus on accurate aim and outsmarting the opponent in regards to movement, then the potential for 'NEW/entertaining' stuff is almost limitless.
