Why does it seems like cpus havent gotten better since i5-2500k?
>>344270947
Because Moore's law ended.
>>344270947
CPU power doesn't really do that much.
>>344270947
because intel tock tock faggotry and they have zero competition. they can trickle out marginal upgrades for the same price every generation and make a killing because they kill sockets every time.

>tfw still have my 2500k
>tfw still running modern games maxed at 60 FPS

I'm still running an i5 2500 (non K) with GTX 560ti, and have no problems getting 60fps in majority of the games out there at 1920x1200 resolution.
Like said already, most games are more GPU dependent, and there's been barely any major changes in CPU tech in past half a decade.

Highly recommended, bruski.
Grabbed the DLC during the summer sale, and so far it's exceeded all my expectations by a mile. Just yesterday I realized it was 5 AM when I finally quit playing it, and I'd started it the previous evening!
