It isn't Sony servers it is just the PS3. It wasn't made to download majority of your games to the HDD like the PS4 is. PS4 is much faster, it's hell downloading games on the PS3 might as well just watch a movie or do whatever for a day.

no, i meant 360. in terms of ui and just system menu design it would go 360 > ps4 > xbone > ps3. everything is so neat and slick on the 360 even after all the updates. even if the ps3 is a piece of shit, the ps4 is a big upgrade and its menus are way better in case you ever get one. that price difference is all that matters, even if you have to wait longer.

pro tip for maximising PSN downloading:
before doing it reset your router(unplug 1 min, plug back in)
reboot your PC(for reasons)
resume psn download
dont use internet intense things on your PC like torrenting/youtube/streams
if it doesnt help, your ISP is shit or throttling your downloads.
PSN is also a little at fault since it has a limit to its DL speed aswell it seems.

Or maybe try turning off your PS3 and then turning it off, if you're using wifi. Some signals may fuck with the connection. It worked for me, can't guarantee it'll work for you.

why does installing a ps4 disc take no more than 20 seconds, and installing an xbox one disc take an hour or more? dont tell me the xbox one disc actually just downloads a fucking copy from the store.
