No. Battles take fucking forever because of animations and the game is fucking grindy(and you can't get around it, you NEED to kill dragons), extremely easy, and braindead(you spam your strongest skills on your OP classes and kill everything before they even do anything). It's a really average jrpg, plus since it's the supposedly the last in series, there's a bunch of references and story shit you'll miss out on because none of the other games ever came out in English, though as someone said above me, there are fan translations. If you like MH though, there's absolutely no reason to get this over MH, for a jrpg it's actually pretty short(say like 20-40 hours, if you want to finish everything)
