RDR on 360 had adaptive v-sync and tearing wasn't that common. It will be nice though having it with 100% vert sync like on the PS3 (where the game looked worse)

The PS3 had the problem that if you went to Blackwater or Armadillo at full speed in your horse the city would take a long while to load and the animation would be laggy as fuck. That's my only complaint about this game.

I don't think it will come to any other platform, be it PC or next gen consoles. Mostly because Rockstar never really played into constant re-releases/remasters of their games, if anything they constantly port games.

You do know that game assets are designed to be as optimal as possible, and then scaled down for the target hardware, not the other way around, right? I'm also inclined to believe that RDR did indeed utilize some custom coding to work, since this game's main focus was on draw distance, which is without a doubt RAGE's biggest weakness, incredibly performance heavy. Even GTA5's draw distance isn't that great compared to 4's.
