You only get the age check once per session.
So if you're viewing several games, but you might not wanna view games for example with sexual content, because you're at work (ok, browsing Steam at work, wtf, but w/e) or your kid or little brother is in the room, this will tell you to avoid that game.
It's not a trigger warning, it's the same as age restriction labels. Maybe a parent doesn't have a problem with sexual content, but doesn't want their children to see gore stuff.
These labels make sense and equating them to trigger warnings just shows what kind of a moron you are.
