I'm Gillian Seed, I've been assigned to J.U.N.K.E.R. Headquarters, effective today
>>344199838
and that's what makes this one...
A TRASHED CLASSIC
>>344200402
>>344200789
>>344201490
>>344199838
Why isn't Kojima working on the sequel?
>>344201631
>>344201718
Fucking BASTARD ruined the combo
>>344201718
There`s going to be a sequel?
>>344201729
Is this the PS1 version?
>>344201987
yes
>>344201729
Fuck the PS1/Saturn version
>>344202138
Dear....God
>>344202138
Why?
Its most likely going to be bad.
>>344202562
why was the PS1 version so bad compared to the PCE and Sega CD version, it's like they just shaded over it with photoshop
Jamie... I've become a junker...
Hey! Where's my pizza?
>>344202949
Yes, but I can sense that there is something terrible hidden in our past, and if we remember it, it will destroy us!
Anyone played SD Snatcher? I know there`s an English translation, but fuck paying for what is essentially a fan translation of an ancient game.
>>344199957
compare
see the differences
>>344202804
because MOAR COLORS = BETTER
>>344203632
Fuck you, the PS1 version is godtier.
>>344203708
For you.
>>344203536
>>344199838
Policenauts was cooler. At least the villain wasn't a massive cuck in that one.
>>344204463
Policenauts was forgettable, I can't even get it to emulate.
>>344204594
What was his problem again?
>>344204594
>>344204708
>>344204594
What? You can run in on ePSXe no problem...
>>344205258
I knew someone was gonna recommend that. I'm talking about the PC-98 version. Not the SlowReefer (SlowBeef) version
>>344205405
Which Policenauts version is the best one?
>>344205405
It's better than nothing. Besides, he mostly handled the programming, not the translation or writing, so don't get your anti-censorship panties in a knot and pass on that version just because of his involvement.
>>344205712
PC-98
undeniably one of the
most
disappointing
shitty
awful adventure games I've ever played
get some fucking taste you weeaboo fags
if you actually paid attention to the genre you'd know just how terrible this game really is
>>344205712
Apparently the 3D0 version was the best, but good luck playing that in any reliable fashion. The PS1 version is what most people play since that's the one that got translated.
>>344206286
explain how it's terrible
meme man
>>344201953
Policenauts?
I really enjoyed the factory investigation at the start of Snatcher. I wish the rest of the game had as much tension and pseudo-science as that section.
>>344206813
>tension
How about the part inside the clinic? That shit was pretty intense.
>>344206952
Or this part:
>>344204084
>>344204206
>>344206316
Actually, the Saturn version is the best, since it has light gun support for the shooting segments. The PS version is second best though.
>>344206286
>>344206952
>>344207137
I'm not saying it wasn't. It's a still pretty cool game.
>>344202804
Not made by Kojima. The porting team had some other artist redo all of Tomiharu Kinoshita's artwork, hence why Mika and Katherine look like Tokimemo rejects in the 32-bit versions.
>>344204206
>Mai bioroid-fu
>>344207707
>>344207598
>dat Mika
>>344207857
What the fuck happened here >>344207707 ?
>>344207598
Well have I been bamboozled
Recently finished it. straight to my 3x3. Great game, only downside is that is a little bit short. Also, Katrina isbest girl
>>344207598
But it looks better.
>>344207946
What do you see child.
>>344207707
>>344207857
>>344207598
All I know about those versions is that the soundtrack remixes suck and they have this hilarious overdone explanation of Random's name and how it relates to Elijah.
>>344208516
>they have this hilarious overdone explanation of Random's name and how it relates to Elijah.
explainall they say in the Sega CD version is that his name is actually backwards.
I AM ANGRY, ANGRY ABOUT SHAMPOO
>>344208516
>>344208627
To be fair, that's how it was done in the PC Engine version, since the voice acting assets is more or less the same in the 32-bit version. You have to keep in mind the Japanese don't particularly understand English very well.
>>344208830
>>344208962
this, is LSD! (Liquid Sky if you're Americano.)
>>344208627
See for yourself:

>>344209178
I don't understand MOON
>>344209325
You don't need to. You'll know when you see it.
Also the epilogue was drawn pretty different too. Did Tomiharu Kinoshita do it also?
The actual Snatchers still trigger the fuck out of me. Game's creepy as hell when it wants to be.
why is this funny to me
>lemme just take time out of me explaining this whole plan i did about releasing this deadly virus into the world, killing half the populace, by spelling my name
Is this any good?
>>344210009
what's with the aspect ratio
>>344202282
metal... gear?
>>344210315
That's a pretty funny name.
>>344202282

what if snatcher TPS?
>>344210909
Anyone have that vocaroo of a guy playing One Night in Neo Kobe on a kazoo?
>>344209609
The Sega CD version was also made by another team. Not sure if the additional Mike and Katrina scene at the end was based on on a previously unproduced storyboard or was it completely made up for the localization. Act 3 in the PC Engine version was pretty rushed overall since they ran out of CD-ROM space.
>>344213583
Damn son, this some good shit.
I just wish I knew how to get Policenauts to work on PC-98.
Third act is the sum of all Kojima problems with telling a story
> HOW ABOUT 40 MINUTES DIRECT EXPOSITION CUTSCENE MOTHERFUCKER?
He did that again in MGS.
4 more times.
>>344212298
i dont but god damn is that a good song
https://youtu.be/Ofr8qqdZ_f0
>>344217445
It's more like of a foreshadowing of what happened with MGSV.
>We ran out of time and budget and don't have enough space for six acts.
>Don't worry, we'll just put everything in Act 3.
>>344217759
Son of a bitch, just imagine if we had three more acts. They should of used two discs like when the Playstation games did.
>>344217759
Kojima is like a japanese Molyneux, he actually believes his own lies until reality forces him to reconsider.
>tfwharry's death scene
poor guy
>>344218250
>>344218325
To be fair, it was only his second game with Konami (released only a year after Metal Gear 1) and the PC Engine version was Konami's first CD-ROM game. It was a pretty ambitious project for a rookie employee.
I don't think there were even any two-disc PC Engine games.
>>344218923
Please dump some more magazine scans.
>>344218716
I couldn't find an english rom of SDatcher when I looked years ago. Is there an easy way of getting it now?
