from the videos I am seeing, that is 99% bullshit. They added more enemies in areas and threw harder enemies into earlier areas of the game (Dragon in the Shrine of Flame, Pursuer in the tutorial).

The game's gimmick is recruiting the '108 people of destiny' or some shit but some are them aren't even playable. There is also a time sensitive major subplot that will lock you out of it if you take to long to progress through the game so you can't spend much timing leveling everyone and doing other side content.
