About to play this for the first time and thinking about whether or not i should install some mods.
Is l'hiver + dx11 okay for a first playthrough or should i do it vanilla?
Why would you soil Gothic 2 with some fan cuckmod that adds DUDE HUNGER-esque features?
Your choice of available mods depends greatly on what languages you speak.
Can you speak German or Polish?
Nah i cant speak german or polish.
And im not sure what >>344193315 is referring to. Does orignal l'hiver add hunger mechanics?
As far as i know theres and official version which is strictly graphical stuff.

He's shitposting, LHiver has a pure graphics version, so just get that BUT if you haven't played Gothic 1, do that, don't be a faggot.
Also only Polish or German voices are acceptable for Gothic games, all other dubs are abysmal, especially the English one.

first playthrough vanilla + notr and only after you played the gothic 1
Just play vanilla, it looks perfectly fine. I played it a year ago and didn't have any issues with visuals (unlike eyebleeding shit that was Morrowind, for example)

Yeah l'hiver + dx11 are allright.
The mod keeps the aestetics of original.
>>344193004
Its fine, but play it with NotR addon.

Am i blind or does this game not come with language choices?
>>344193004
Just use the system pack and maybe the dx11 renderer
>>344199265
System pack helped fix access violation errors for me. I think I had an issue with the dx11 renderer too.

It doesn't. To get german voices with english subtitles, you need to download the german copy and paste over some folders from the english version.
DO NOT ADD LHIVER it ruins the aesthetic of the game
It's like adding photorealistic textures to Minecraft, it's fucking ugly
>join firemages
>"alright cool they give me fucking staves and shit to whack monsters"
>you wield like it's some weird fucking 2h club thing
This shit was so weird and disappointing to me.
If you enjoy it try Risen, personal GOAT. Maybe Risen 3, I wasn't a fan but it was more like Gothic than the first Risen. Have fun, OP.
