It starts off streamlined but further along the line eventually you'll zoom out and realize you're playing EU in space.

So I'm about 180 years in, pretty much researched everything but repeatables, my empire is about 1/3 of the galaxy, max fleet size, etc.
Is there anything to do now other than wait for crisis and slowly steamrolling empires clockwise, 10 years at a time?

Bad UI, Fastest is not fast enough.
I have only played the launch edition. Wanted to finish my first game before updating, but I've put it on hold for now because it was so clunky to play.
4x elements are also not very good.
One early game is fun imo if you're into scifi, thanks to the surveying and anomalies.
There's potential there, but I wouldn't buy it unless a lot has changed since launch.
Like jesus fuck I hate the UI for that game.
Other games from paradox have had sensible UI imo so I don't really get it.
Just so damn clunky to build, and move between planets.
