Why is this right here so difficult to do for billion dollar companies while a bunch of turks in a basement can do it no problem?
AAA devs blow it all on marketing and paid reviews
>>344165749
The games that don't have it, usually have MUCH bigger problems. And if it's an AAA title, as in billion dollar company made game, people don't give a shit about problematic things in the game.
Criticism is dead.

That's pretty cool, what game is it?
>>344165749
is this bonerlord?
>>344166473
lmao @ at those long ass arms flailing around
>>344166473
How do I get the Riddick games? Can't find them anywhere.
>>344165749
Preferences, idiot. I hate seeing legs when I look down. You like it. It's as if your way isn't the only way.

>Gun clips through the wall anyway

>I like eating shit

>I hate seeing legs when I look down.
Yeah, because your fat gut doesn't let you see them.
It's not difficult to do. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense from an optimization standpoint.
>>344168350
That's bullshit.
>>344168480
What's bullshit, anon?
>>344167324
gog
>>344168973
I would take the 0.0001% performance hit of having 1 more body rendered then the floating cameras we have today.
>>344165749
it's not difficult. It's also not profitable

http://www.giantbomb.com/full-body-awareness/3015-1692/
>Older games featuring full body awareness often used lower quality models in order to maintain a respectable frame rate, resulting in simplistic player and weapon models.
>First-person shooters have been ridiculed at times for not utilizing full body awareness, creating an experience where the player appears to be nothing but a set of arms and a floating gun. While many modern FPS games are beginning to show the player's full body, some games still use the "floating gun" disconnect, to create higher-quality weapon models and animations without sacrificing performance.
>>344169146
Having an actually visible body makes the camera motion more difficult, as it can't just hover perfectly still in space and pivot around itself, it needs to follow the motions of a head (which is attached to a body, which is connected to the ground) when walking or looking up/down
>>344165749
They ruin the immersion. Player expects to see his own legs when he looks down, but instead he sees the PC's legs and that ruins the immersion of the player being the games character, not the one controlling him.
>>344169452
that's a terrible citation

This is the kind of shit that has to be done to make full body awareness work properly without killing performance for consoles/low end systems.
>>344169558
Yes and mount&blade seems to do it just fine.
>>344167518
I bet you're gay and fat too
>>344170451
that is done largely automatically. Motion captured raw data is adjusted to fit the camera. Does show though how a visible body is not necessarily a realistic body. In the end the camera is all that matters
>>344170691
seems. Look at the FC3 video, it's worth it

>is this bonerlord?
that's warband
