When I played beta I didn't really think so but that patches really made it better. I enjoy it a lot, even though I really don't like Blizzard.
It's not very involved, unless you want to go competitive, but it's fun as hell. Buy it for sure if you have friends who play, because that's fun too.
Also, make sure you get the 40$ edition.

yeah I think it's worth it. I got it as a birthday present for myself and honestly, I haven't had this much fun playing vidya in some time. I'm already over 100 hours and I can still burn till 4 in the AM playing this.
d.va specifically, the character in the OP, is one of the most fun FPS classes I've ever played.
I mean, it's only 40 bucks and I can't confirm, but I wouldn't be surprised if character updates ended up being free as well.

Currently the only form of "micro"transaction is lootboxes which you get anyway through leveling up.
Jewing out only gives you aesthetic improvements, skins, etc.
Would buy again, specially when turds like Fallout 4 go for 60 + DLC and this is only 40
