The DLC classes and campaigns from 2 were much better than the base game. Pre-sequel just added way too many gimmicks and dumb shit.

I done BL1 twice, BL2 three times but only did TPS once- playing on and off.

Mobs actually melted in BL1. The bullet sponge meme didn't start until 2 came along.
I mean mechanically 2 is better, and the skill trees are a large improvement, but everything else that should make it a loot and shoot video game were completely gutted and removed, and level design was sacrificed turning any sort of running through areas into a session of ignoring every mob and running straight to the boss.
Red chests never gave fucking anything to the player in 2, whereas even a quality blue could find some use in 1.

Areas were awful, objectives had you run aimlessly from A to B back to A, and because of the shitty moon physics, additional playthroughs were obscenely fucking slow compared to if you were to run through 2 again.

In 1 you actually got good loot by playing normally and even lower level stuff could be interesting, in 2 everything below purple is always total shit and you practically never get oranges from chests. You know that your loot system is fucked if opening chests isn't exciting at all because they are always just full of shit.

2 is far better than 1, if only for the reason that the entire world isn't a giant barren desert. Half of the areas in 1 are completely indistinguishable from each other, and the pacing and plot progression are so bad that for pretty much the entire middle section of the game you're just running from one brown empty sandscape to another.

If that's the case than 2 is an even worse offender because your gear becomes irrelevant after 3 levels. That on top of the fact that only a handful of guns are actually useful in UVHM, the shit drop rates, and that certain guns only drop from certain bosses means you need to farm the same bosses over and over and over again.

While the Telltale game was really good. You can't compare it to an FPS.
But otherwise your order is correct. I played BL1 back then when it was only 1 year old so i could have nostalgia googles about it but BL2 improved it a lot.
I liked the less bright ass colors in BL1 tho. It was still the same art style but less Looney Toons feeling.

I would also mention that even tho Pre-Sequel was okay i didn't buy it at full price and boy am i glad for it. A lot of content rehashing, a lot of the same legendaries from BL2 and the way they fucked up the ones who bought season pass is laughable.
The DLC in BL2 was godlike. In PS from four DLC 2 was just the new classes alone with nothing else and one was just a fucking arena. You know the thing that previous DLC's had as a tiny little side content.
The Claptrap DLC was the only real DLC.
It seems weird, but prefer the setting of 1. There were some cool things in 2 like fighting the warrior and shit, but the desert was coherent. It was a Mad Max homage. Even as a nod/reference it felt more authentic than generic element levels.
