Has there ever been a heavily delayed game that came out great? Seems like they usually flounder in development hell until the dev realises they've blown way too much money and tries to recoup losses.
But this is Atlus/Persona so they might have the cash to back a delay up.

As long as it has the same creators behind it more time is likely to be a good thing.
It's not like delays are noticeable one bit if the game is good. Within one hour of playing it the time waiting will be a non issue.

Deep Silver are the ones behind the Mighty No. 9 trailer so people are kind of on edge when they see their name. Pretty sure Deep Silver has been responsible for releasing games in Europe at a later date than the North American release too

Not really. Nintendo doesn't localize DQ or BD, for example. MN9 was done by 8-4 as well. Also, they announced it as publishing Atlus US and select Sega titles. When Atlus is done localizing P5, that's what gonna be released for NA and EU.
