I make it a point to never listen to a game's soundtrack unless I've played and beaten it or only listening to a song if I've at least gotten past that part in the game. And I deliberately try to avoid spoilers.
Only exceptions lately have been me listening to game's OST I haven't played before out of curiosity and those have been fighting games, where spoilers don't really matter. And even then I feel a tad guilty over it.
